Reliability of explosive bolt

Hi

I want to predict the reliability of explosive bolt.
Its most critical part is electric bridge wire detonator.can I use database? If yes which database?
I will be thankful for suggesting alternative/other aproaches.

I would disagree that the detonator is the "most" critical part - all parts are equally critical - I have never seen a failure due to the detonator - but I'm familier with several failures involving other aspects of explosive bolts.

But to respond to your question I do not know of any database - there are hundreds of different configuration detonators and it would be dangerous to group them together.

Your best bet is to use information from the supplier statistical sensitivity test (such as Bruceton or Neyer) to determine detonator reliability.

For other parts of the bolt reliability you might consider using a stress-strength calculation.

If you just need a ballpark number (say for a specification or a early prediction) I would suggest a typical explosive bolt reliability of .995 at a 95% confidence level.
